Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
SafeFi+ ("SafeFi+", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you when you use the SafeFi+ mobile application and related services.
By accessing or using SafeFi+, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and Product Context
This Privacy Policy applies to the SafeFi+ mobile app and related support services.
SafeFi+ includes two product experiences:
- A non-custodial wallet module that can be used without account registration.
- A P2P trading module that requires account registration and identity verification.
Because these two experiences are different by design, the type of data collected may vary based on which features you use.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information generated through wallet or transaction usage, and information collected automatically for app operation.
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Registration information, such as username, email address, password, and referral code (if provided).
- Account maintenance information, such as requests to change email, phone number, or password.
- Verification information, including email OTP flow data and account verification status.
- Identity verification (eKYC) submission data, such as full name, phone number, government identification number, nationality, selfie image, and ID document image.
- P2P profile details, including linked wallet details, bank account details, and transaction-related profile entries.
- User communications, including chat messages and image attachments shared in transaction conversations.
2.2 Wallet and transaction-related information
- Wallet addresses and wallet metadata.
- Transaction preparation and transaction execution details, such as sender address, recipient address, transfer amount, token/network, estimated fee, and transaction hash.
- Wallet recovery/import information entered by you (such as mnemonic or private key) when using wallet import or transaction features.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Device and app operation data needed for service reliability, security, and troubleshooting.
- Push notification token and notification preference state (when notifications are enabled).
- In-app preference and state data stored locally, such as selected wallet, visible token preferences, selected theme, and recent scanned QR result.
- Session and authentication state needed to maintain secure app access.
3. How and Where Data Is Stored
SafeFi+ uses both local and server-side data storage, depending on the feature.
3.1 On-device storage
Certain settings and sensitive app data are stored locally on your device. This includes wallet-related records, app preferences, and session-level data required for app continuity.
3.2 Server-side processing
When you use account features, P2P features, eKYC submission, chat, and notification registration, related data is transmitted to and processed by backend services.
3.3 Public blockchain context
When you perform on-chain transactions, transaction data may become publicly visible on blockchain networks and blockchain explorers. Blockchain records are generally immutable and cannot be modified or deleted by SafeFi+.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for legitimate service operations, including to:
- Create and manage accounts.
- Authenticate users and secure account sessions.
- Deliver wallet and transaction functionality.
- Process P2P transaction workflows and related chat communication.
- Perform identity verification and risk control checks.
- Register and deliver transaction/account notifications.
- Provide user support and respond to account issues.
- Detect misuse, suspicious behavior, or potential fraud.
- Improve feature stability, reliability, and user experience.
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations applicable to the service.
We do not use your data for unrelated purposes without appropriate notice.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information only when required to operate the service, protect users, or comply with legal obligations. This may include:
- Infrastructure and technology service providers that support hosting, storage, security, communication, and notification delivery.
- Identity verification and compliance service providers that support verification and fraud prevention workflows.
- Blockchain and network participants when transactions are broadcast on-chain.
- Authorities or legal bodies where disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and platform integrity.
SafeFi+ does not sell personal information.
6. App Permissions
Depending on your usage, SafeFi+ may request the following permissions:
- Camera permission: used for QR scanning and identity verification capture.
- Photo library permission: used to select images for QR processing and transaction-related uploads.
- Notification permission: used to send account and transaction alerts.
You can control these permissions at any time in your device settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide SafeFi+ services, maintain platform security, resolve disputes, support operational continuity, and satisfy legal or compliance obligations.
Retention periods differ by data category and business purpose. When data is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or anonymize it using reasonable operational controls.
Locally stored app data remains on your device unless you remove it, clear app data, or uninstall the app (subject to your device platform behavior).
8. Account Inactivity, Suspension, and Termination
To maintain service integrity and ensure responsible data lifecycle management, SafeFi+ applies the following account inactivity policy:
- If an account shows no activity for 6 consecutive months, the account will be placed into suspended status.
- The suspension period will last for 3 months.
- If the account remains inactive throughout that 3-month suspension period, the account will be permanently deleted.
- After permanent deletion, all records associated with that account will be permanently removed from SafeFi+ systems.
For this policy, activity refers to meaningful authenticated account use within SafeFi+, such as successful sign-in and use of account-based features.
9. Security Measures
We implement reasonable operational, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. These safeguards include secure communication channels, access controls, and secure local storage mechanisms.
Despite these measures, no platform, network, or storage method is completely risk-free. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and wallet recovery information.
10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal data associated with your account.
- Request correction or update of inaccurate personal data.
- Request deletion of personal data, subject to applicable obligations and service conditions.
- Withdraw permission-based access (such as camera, photos, or notifications) through device settings.
To submit a privacy request, contact us through the details in the Contact section below.
11. International Data Handling
SafeFi+ services may involve processing or storage across multiple jurisdictions. Where cross-border transfers occur, we apply reasonable safeguards consistent with applicable legal requirements.
12. Children's Privacy
SafeFi+ is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
If you believe information from a child under 18 has been submitted, please contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
13. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or product changes. When we make updates, we revise the Effective Date at the top of this document.
Your continued use of SafeFi+ after an updated policy is published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
